Experience the history and splendor of Gilded Age Washington at Anderson House, the winter home of Ambassador Larz Anderson III and his wife, Isabel Anderson. Today the house serves as the headquarters of the Society of the Cincinnati and is open to the public for tours, as well as for research in the renowned library of eighteenth-century military history that is located on site. For special events, the elegance of this Beaux Arts mansion is unparalled. The variety of its spaces accommodates many different types of functions, from cocktail receptions in the Olmsted Gallery to formal dinners in the ballroom. The great stair hall and the winter garden, with its glass-paneled French doors that open to the gardens outside, allow plenty of flow for larger gatherings.
