Hillwood Estate, Museum & Gardens, like no other Washington DC cultural attraction, is an intimate three-part experience that is gracious, inspiring, and immersive; in a word – fabulous. Guests at cereal heiress Marjorie Merriweather Post’s former home wander the stylish Georgian mansion, free to marvel at Fabergé eggs, portraits, porcelain, furniture and elegant decor, and thirteen acres of serene gardens overlooking Rock Creek Park. Mrs. Post’s personality is the connective link across Hillwood, from her life in business and politics to her collection of Russian and French Decorative Arts. Gracious and attentive staff to welcome visitors.
The Estate is available to non-profit and corporate organizations looking for a unique setting to host those special events or meetings. Each event will include a self guided tour and docents will be stationed throughout the mansion to answer guest questions about the collection, Estate, and Mrs. Post. Private parties or receptions such as wedding, birthdays are not permitted.
