Off-premise Event, Catering Sales Manager

Paris Caterers, Washington DC  off-premise event and catering company seeks a Sales Manager to lead sales and business development in the greater Washington DC area.

Responsibilities:

  • Leverage existing client relationships
  • Maintain company’s existing client base such as corporate, association, Diplomatic/Embassy and US government catering acc.
  • Provide prompt customer service
  • Menu creation, costing and proposal development
  • Attend trade network events, client meetings, and event/walk-through meetings
  • Marketing and PR activities
  • Able to work on weekends and holidays
  • Create and manage a sales force

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Hotel Management or Culinary Arts
  • Knowledge of menu design and food presentation
  • Personal transportation

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of employment with a company in the Food and Entertainment industry
  • Written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task, be detail oriented, highly organized
  • Problem solving and ability to accommodate client requests
  • Experience with large events (500+ guests)
  • Strong computers skills: Word, Excel, Salesforce.com, Synergy

Above position requires:

  • US Citizenship or US Permanent Residence
  • Federal and State background check

  • Drug and alcohol testing prior to employment and randomly throughout employment
  • 50 state motor vehicle check
  • Signature of a confidentiality and Non Compete agreement

This is a commission based position with no ceiling, draws. Benefits will be determined after a 120 day performance review. After 24 months, successful candidate will be offered a partnership position.
